from one supermom to another...
Motherhood – The toughest title a woman will hold, but we take to it like we were destined the title all along, don’t we?
Hey ladies! My name is Adrienne and I am a 25-year-old mommy to the sweetest little boy, Jayden. Together we are growing and learning every day in the magical city of New York. Here, I am a full-time mother, full-time worker and in the process of building my own brand.
To be called a mother is the greatest honor, but that hardly scrapes the surface of what I represent. So, who am I? I am a woman who is on a journey of self-discovery and self-love, while encouraging others to do the same. I am a mother who battles postpartum depression and general anxiety. I co-slept for 13 months, couldn't breastfeed past 3 months, and allow him to cry for 5 minutes in his crib when my frustration gets the best of me. And guess what? None of that has damaged him! Most importantly, I am a mother whose mission is to constantly reassure other woman that we are doing the best we can!
In addition, I am a young woman who still has her own goals and dreams. Someone who is determined to accomplish each goal, but content with the process taking a bit longer than the average person – and ecstatic that you will be on this journey with me.
This platform is a way to express myself and interact with other like-minded women who are walking a similar path as I. The path that shares the motions so many women are too guilty or ashamed to speak on. Here you will find a Safe Haven for women who are facing pressures from every angle to be “perfect”. This blog will hold a series of heart-to-heart conversations of some battles I’ve faced on my walk of motherhood, advice for different stages, and loads of encouragement from other mothers and myself!
So welcome to Dear Supermom, letters from me to you, the woman who may be falling apart but still gets it done with grace. I’m looking forward to building a community with you ladies, where we share moments of laughter, tears, surprises, and everything else that comes along the way.
With love always,
